Initial Contact

Do you have concerns but don’t know whether an assessment is necessary? I’m always happy to have a chat about your child and your concerns. I can provide a confidential, obligation-free conversation, in order to help you determine the right course of action for your child. There may not be a need to take action, but you will feel reassured having spoken to a professional.

Assessment

Assessment of Speech and Language, up to 90 minute session at home or educational setting, is $475.  

Assessment of Speech and Language, plus Literacy, up to 120 minutes (over 1 or 2 sessions) at home or educational setting, is $575.

Assessment includes:

  • Discussion around your concerns and a full case history.

  • Formal (standardised) and informal assessment of your child (and all necessary analysis afterwards).

  • Discussion of the findings, initial advice, and a joint decision as to how best to proceed.

  • Full Assessment report.

Therapy 

60 minute session at home or educational setting is $195.

In addition to 50 minutes direct intervention time with your child, the session cost includes:

  • Travel to your home/centre/school (up to 5km from Dudley, NSW; locations in excess of this distance will incur an additional travel fee, see below for more information).

  • Intervention planning and preparation time outside of the session time.

  • Materials and handouts to support home practice tasks, as needed.

  • Liaising with other professionals with whom your child may be working (e.g. occupational therapist, GP etc).

Note: for NDIS clients whose funds are Plan-Managed, sessions will be charged at the NDIS rate, currently $193.99/hour, and for 65 minutes in order to align with the NDIS Price Guide and allow a few minutes of administrative time.

Preschool and School Visits

Attendance at preschool / school / home for planning and support meetings is $195/hour.

For example, IEP planning and review meetings, Transition to School meetings, etc.

Written Letters Reports and Therapy Programs

Comprehensive Assessment / Review report (such as NDIS Review Report), other than at the time of initial assessment, is $390.

Written correspondence (e.g. lengthy written correspondence with other professionals in relation to your child’s assessment results) is charged at $195/hour.

Development of detailed home therapy intervention program or AAC program is charged at $195/hour.

Terms of Business

Travel within 5km of Dudley, NSW is free.  Travelling costs for distances greater than this will be charged at the hourly rate for therapy (currently $195/hr), in 15 minute increments, and agreed upon with you in advance.

I accept payment by cash and Electronic Funds Transfer / Direct Deposit, but automatic credit card payments are preferred. Payments are due at the time of service.  

If you are claiming from Medicare or a private health fund, it is your responsibility to settle the account and then claim from your fund. It is advisable to check your level of cover before commencing therapy.

48 hours notice is required to cancel a session. Sessions cancelled after this time will be charged at 50% of the usual rate. Failure to attend (“no shows”) will be charged at 100% of the usual rate, including travel.

Regular attendance at scheduled therapy sessions is critical to establishing momentum and ensuring optimal progress towards therapy goals, therefore an 80% attendance rate (per term/quarter) is expected. Sessions cancelled in excess of this rate will be billed as scheduled and therapy time will be allocated to indirect supports. Failure to meet the attendance rate risks loss of your child’s regular appointment time. 

If I am ill, I will let you know and offer a replacement session as soon as possible.
